Madison at Town Center is NOW LEASING! NO MORE SALES.
Its official.
The Madison at Town Center, the condo conversion building "that wasn't", is now leasing after a failed attempt at selling as condos in 2006. Once an apartment community, turned condo conversion, now apartment community again, the Madison at Town Center even has the guys outside waiving signs with "Now Leasing" slogans on them.
Some people did indeed purchase condos there, I think the number is quite small, however it did happen as I confirmed this with the leasing office. From what I heard, it will be quite difficult for any of the owners to take out a loan on their "new" condo at Madison Town Center if they wish to refinance since the project is likely less (probably WAY less) than 50% owner occupied. I'd be surprised if it was 10% owner occupied.
I think it was a great idea to undertake the failed venture, but completely the wrong year. HOA fees were over $390/mo too, that didn't help.
From what I understand if it comes back as a condo conversion project, its likely to be years, instead of months. Currently they are signing 6-12 months leases if anyone is interested!
