Buy A Santa Clarita Home In 2009 - Get A $4,000 Grant After Closing! In conjunction with the California Association Of Realtors Housing Affordability Fund, the Southland Region Association of Realtors Foundation is offering a total of $4,000 in grant money to first time home buyers who meet certain criteria, and are being represented in their purchase by a member of SRAR. This is a first come first serve offering, and the funds will likely not last the entire year of 2009! Possibly not even through the Summer. In order to qualify: - Buyers must be first time home buyer
- Buyers combined family income level must be at $120,000/year or less
- Buyers must attend Los Angeles neighborhood Services Class in LA. This is an 8 hour Saturday course that costs $75. It helps your understanding of the purchase process, and programs available to buyers. This class must be completed prior to making an offer on a home. If SRAR Foundation determines you took the class well into the escrow process, they may not accept your application for the grant.
- The home must be located in the SRAR region (Santa Clarita Valley or San Fernando Valley)
- Buyer's Realtor must be a full SRAR member - THE SCV AGENTS TEAM IS!
To receive the funds you will need: - A photocopy of all Buyers Id's
- A copy of your final closing statement. You will receive this form from the Escrow Company a few days after your transaction
- Page 8 of the contract showing buyer's agent (SRAR member) name
- Your Los Angeles Neighborhood Housing Services class certification
- Details of loan programs or assistance programs that you attained. Please include loan addendum that indicates low or moderate income program funding
- First Time Home Buyers verification (Lender/CPA/W2's etc)
