There is always one neighborhood or community within an area that most would want to live in if it were possible. Welcome to Sand Canyon. This is the most exclusive community in the Santa Clarita Valley. Situated at the most eastern portion on of the Valley, Sand Canyon is on the south side of the 14 freeway, secluded and nestled against a beautiful mountain range.
From its mansions, horse property, ranches, and cute country cottage style homes, Sand Canyon offers homes with open space and land in mind. You won't find many typical tract homes here. Almost everything is custom.
With the average home selling for around $1.5 million dollars and the average sq ft of a home is almost 4,000, Sand Canyon is a place for the most afluent of home buyers. It is well known that celebrity and sport stars alike have made their home in this community. As Santa Clarita Valley has built up with tract homes, Sand Canyon has become more and more exclusive over the years. It is also home to the gorgeous golf course Robinson Ranch which provides two challenging 18 hole courses.
Though shopping centers are non existant in this community, you will care less about your typical box store location when living the good life in Sand Canyon. Let your heart not be troubled though, an awesome new shopping center is planned for the Western portion of Fair Oaks Ranch off of Golden Valley Rd, in the new community of Fair Oaks Ranch. Sand Canyon residents will soon have a short drive to this Golden Valley shopping plaza (Target, Kohls, etc coming soon), and avoid a long 25 minute drive to the "current" better shopping in Valencia.
Take a drive east, and see why this community is highly sought after by luxury home buyers. Even if you can't afford this price range (yet), its still worth a drive through for the fun of it!
