  
Situated just south of the 14 freeway and on the eastern portion of the Santa Clarita Valley, Fair Oaks Ranch is a wonderful new community that features mid size to large size single family homes, and more recently began offering condominiums for sale too.
Fair Oaks Ranch has homes that range from being built in 1999 to Present. There are some new communities on the horizon being built by Pardee. These communities are called Hearthstone and Fairmont. They are set to open for sales in May of 2006. Currently, homes are selling in Fair Oaks Ranch for as liitle as $350,000 range up to over $990,000 for some of the largest homes available.
Fair Oaks Ranch also offer an amazing elementary school that is recognized by the State of California as a distinguished school for the year 2006. This makes it only one of ten elementary schools in the Santa Clarita Valley that were honored with this distinction.
Pressed up against hills and mountains, Fair Oaks Ranch is a really nice community of newer homes that has the benefit of being freeway close. While current big box stores are a little bit further right now, new shopping is on the horizon. Golden Valley Ranch shopping plaza is under construction about 1 minute south of Fair Oaks Ranch at the Golden Valley freeway off ramp. Among several of the stores coming to this area, is a brand new target. No longer will residents in this part of the Valley feel the need to travel to the west end of Santa Clarita to do their shopping at other major shopping centers and malls.
