   Situated on the eastern most portion of the Santa Clarita Valley, Canyon Country is a diverse community of apartments, condos, detached single family homes, and shopping centers. Soledad Canyon Rd provides the main artery through the community. In recent years some really nice housing developments have popped up within Canyon Country providing some much needed "new" scenery. New shopping centers have also been developed which has provided relief to the Canyon Country residents in that they no longer have to travel to the west part of the Valley (Valencia) to spend their money on things such as dinner and a movie. There are preliminary plans in the works to further develop and redevelop the community so that it reflects the needs of the community a bit better, and increases its appeal when comparing it with Valencia, Saugus, and other communities with more modern amenities, city infrastructure, and shopping. With single family detached homes starting in the mid/upper $200k range and condos starting in the $100k range, Canyon Country is one of the most affordable communities in the Santa Clarita Valley. Times are changing! Canyon Country has been developed quite a bit, and is an attractive alternative to Valencia and Saugus. |
